Alexander Kalckreuth is a founding partner of Irle Kalckreuth LLP.
Born in Munich, Alexander Kalckreuth studied law in Bonn and Berlin. While in law school, he worked for the press spokesman of a large federal business association. After graduation from law school, he joined a renowned media law firm in Hamburg, and also worked with a well-known media attorney in Paris. During his years as a federal law clerk, Alexander Kalckreuth began to work for a well-known nationwide law firm in Hamburg specializing in media law, copyright law, trademark law and unfair competition law. There, he handled several high-profile matters in the above areas, eventually as a partner of the firm's Berlin office until November 2005. Alexander Kalckreuth gained experience with U.S. media law, in particular copyright law, while working in the legal department of a copyright management company in Los Angeles, U.S.A.
